I'd Like To Point You to the Following Posts

There has been quite a bit of recent comment activity between myself and an anonymous Xtian (why don't they ever reveal who they are?) on a few posts, so I'd like to take a moment to point them out. Swing on by and chime in!

Number One.
Number Two.

Number Three.

well ramatheson,
i didnt think it was absolutely necessary that i give my name, but if you would like to know it's Cierra.

i have spoken to you the truth and what i believe in my heart, and well, if you don't want to accept that its the truth well that's between you and the Lord, but i know i have done my job and thats to spread the word and truth of the LORD.

Romans 14:11
"As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, And every tongue shall confess to God."

Cool blog but I think you overstate the case drastically and should read more of the opposite point of view. I am not going to quote Bible verses at you as Cierra did but as a practising and liberal Christian I hope you will begin to engage with us on a level that will make you seem more interested in sharing your views rather than just becoming the mirror image of what you oppose.

Spirituality is not always the product of people being "high" but most drugs produce the same experiences as controlled mysticism does in a way that those who experiment with drugs have experiences of the Beyond that are too powerful for the human mind to cope with. As someone who daily has witnessed God's spirit at work, I know that to learn to control and direct that Love, Hope, Belief and Understanding is important to the spiritual experience and Moses would have agreed with me too. To say that we are all on drugs is to cheapen the spiritual experience millions have through sheer belief and openness to other ideas and ways of seeing the world. I have never even smoked a cigarette and only drink sparingly, and most people seeking spirituality do likewise. I am also a scientist by training, both in the natural and social sciences, so I would invite you to debate the issues fairly and rationally rather than resorting to cheap atheist propaganda as you do on your site.

I should read more of the opposing view? Please read the first few posts on this site about my religious history before you make such statements. Go check them out.

Kindly shut up with your praying. Thanks. Nobody needs to know you're praying for them; only God himself needs to know. An anonymous favor, like putting money into an offering box. That's enough for you, no?

I know I have discovered this site alittle late but I would like to add that if one compares the religion of the Pharaohs to that of Christians and Jews you will see that they plagerized the Egyptian religion. Change the names and the places and abra, cadabra you have a new religion, Does this prove there is a god. No. Does this prove that we are very small scared little animals on a great big planet. Yes. When we don't understand something we make up a story to explain it, and when we can't do that we copy a story from someone else. All religion is born of our fear of death and the dark. We all become worm patties when we die. End of story. Be kind to those around you and you will be remeber for all time.

A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, no? I agree with you Louise for the most part but just not with the: "...most people seeking spirituality do likewise" It seems that you have such a stigma against drugs. But it is no surprise that you have a dislike for something which you do not truly understand. And by "truly" I mean have had firsthand experience with. Drugs out of control can have horrible repercussions but with the right intentions they can bring a higher understanding of our environments and give us new perspectives on various ideas and beliefs. Native Americans come to mind when dealing with mind altering substances for a higher spiritual purpose. I can see that your heart is in the right place, I'm just saying don't step on other peoples toes.
